We believe that employing both Eastern and Western medicinal practices is the best way to ensure your pet’s health, well-being, and comfort. Eastern medicinal practices, such as acupuncture and herbal medicine, work in tandem with Western medicinal practices in order to provide a more holistic treatment.
Eastern medicine seeks to find the source of problems and views the patient more holistically in relation to their environment. Acupuncture is a treatment that falls under the scope of Eastern medicine and is the practice of inserting needles into specific points on the body to achieve a desirable healing effect. Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions across most animals, including mammals, birds, and reptiles.
Our practice has seen particular success in using acupuncture to treat orthopedic conditions, neurological conditions, behavioral disorders, and endocrine disorders, as well as managing pain and nausea that occurs as a result of ailments such as cancer, arthritis, neurologic disease, and more. Most dogs and cats accept acupuncture treatment and even enjoy them once they feel the beneficial effects
